Where should I stay with my pet?
There are many wonderful pet-friendly holiday resorts on Bornholm, making it easy to bring your four-legged friend along. Most places offer holiday apartments where dogs and cats are welcome, while some only have a few – or none – that allow pets.
This means that pet-friendly units may be fully booked at your chosen resort, even if other holiday apartments are still available. If this is the case, we will always contact you immediately after your booking.

House rules for pets
In the holiday parks and apartments where pets are welcome, the following rules apply:

Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds.
-
Please walk your dog outside the holiday area – and always remember to clean up after it.
-
Dogs may not be left alone in the holiday home or be without supervision in the area.
Rules for travelling with dog to Denmark
We kindly ask you to please familiarize yourself with the current rules for bringing a pet to Denmark for non-commercial errands. You can read more about the rules for traveling with pets from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.
Transit through Sweden
If you need to transit through Sweden you will also have to follow the rules for travelling with a pet through Sweden.
- Your pet must be ID-marked with a microchip or clearly legible tattoo
- Your pet must have a "pet passport" which you will obtain from your veterinarian
- Your pet must be rabies vaccinated. The vaccination must be made no later than 3 weeks before departure
- The import of a pet through Sweden must be reported to the Swedish customs authorities on your arrival. You do this easily on the Swedish Customs' website. Remember to read the information on the webside before entering your e-mail address. In the field "Place of entry" you must state: "Öresundsbron / Malmö". Also remember to bring the notification number you receive.
